报刊知识抢答课

进入初三年级，教师对学生报刊阅读的限制进一步放宽。在学生自读一段时间报纸后（一般是3～4份报纸），组织一次报刊阅读知识竞赛。不止报刊阅读，如果将小说阅读也坚持数年，成效仍然显著。

我们典范英语阅读教学的形式与报刊阅读相似，只是在教师导读课中加入人物性格分析。以典范英语7第13本The Ghost Ship为例，介绍一下小说导读课的常用步骤：

1.Be an imitator：warm-up by imitating ways of saying

2.Be a sentence chewer：share beautiful sentences

3.Be a story teller：summarize the story

4.Be a scriptwriter and actor：put scripts onto the stage

5.Be a character observer：analyze personalities and critical thinking

6.Be a creative thinker：create a pre-story and write it down

报刊和小说阅读弥补了教材时文和文学作品过少的缺憾。这个维度的阅读特别关注让学生带着自己的经验，尽力理解作者真正要表达的思想和情感，学生在欣赏读物语言的同时，把握读物的内在价值，对不同语言的理解有助于提高对不同文化的包容。
